Patti Marquis is a member of the P.G.A. and the L.P.G.A. and is the Head Golf Professional at the Links Golf Club. Patti has had many firsts in her career.
- She was the captain of the boy’s golf team at Kent-Meridian High School.
- She was the first woman to ever receive an athletic scholarship at the University of Washington.
- She was the first woman hired as head golf professional west of the Mississippi.
Patti Started playing golf at the age of ten. She was a total golf nut from an early age. After being captain of the boy’s golf team in high school she received a full scholarship to the University of Washington where she played for four years, going to Nationals each of those years. Patti enjoys teaching golf almost as much as she does playing golf. She holds 26 course records.
Patti teaches an extraordinary number of private and group golf lessons. She has been fortunate to receive a number of teaching awards in the past several years. Golf for Women magazine named her as one of the top fifty instructors in the country, routinely Golf Digest lists her amongst the top professionals in the State of Washington, she was named the Inland Empire P.G.A. teacher of the year in 1999 and 2002, in 2003 the teacher of the year for the Pacific Northwest Section P.G.A. and in 2005 Golf Magazine listed her as one of the top golf instructors in the United States. She boasts having the best staff in the country. You will not find a more accommodating group or a friendlier atmosphere.
